Dell was the next laptop computer that i bought after using a Samsung laptop notebook. I bought it because i am a game lover. I was recommended to buy a particular model but i didn't remember until i was asked to pick Dell Inspirion E1705, using a Core Duo T2350 1.86GHz, with a Hard drive space of 120GB, and 1GB of RAM.

I was also made to believe they come in differnt specifications, with the same model name. The most wonderful thing about my laptop computer is that is has a high resolution screen display, which i enjoy even while playing my games, or designing some programs. I also love its USB TV tuner, and Media center remote which also allows my connect to a TV if i want. Hey, there is also decent graphics i enjoy, and the control buttons of media is way to good. They are not scrambled together. However, i disliked the fact that despite is size, all the key controls are all cramped up in a small portion, that you have to fuse your fingers together when using the keyboard, quite bad. The end line is this 17-inch Dell Inspiron E1705, is a wonderful machine that can be useful in homes, offices,, and is a good desktop replacement. Its gaming performance is just marvelous. Go get yours quickly!

Dell Inspiron E1705

When i saw my friend's laptop computer, i quickly went for mine, but i bought the Dell Inspiron E1705, with a lower feature, but i returned it when i discovered they weren't the same. The Dell Inspiron E1705 has a complete performance of excellence, with a gaming ability that is not rivalled by any other laptop notebooks. Its speakers, are wonderful, having a dual layer DVD burner, and quite a lot of multimedia connections. Amazingly, it runs on Window XP Media Center. However, i returned it because it lacked a TV tuner, although it has a PC card tuner.
The truth is when you have Dell configured with an Intel Core Duo processor, you are on the go, getting tasks done, and enjoying your game life.

The Dell Inspiron e1705 is a 17" widescreen notebook and the first Inspiron to be released with the new Intel Core Duo processor.  The "e" in e1705 stands for "Entertainment", with various media features available, fast Core Duo processor, a generous amount of ports and the option for a high-end graphics card in the form of the nVidia Go 7800 the e1705 certainly can be a lot of fun.
An important note on the e1705 is the fact that the Dell Inspiron 9400 sold via the Dell Business site is the same notebook as the e1705 offered through the Dell Home online store.  The only difference is that the Dell e1705 offers Windows Media Center Edition as an OS, along with an external USB TV Tuner option.  Prices and offers may vary between each Dell online purchase channel, so you'd be wise to configure and price similar notebooks on each site to see
what the better deal is at the time you order.

Pros:
The T7200 combined with the Geforce 7900GS offers fantastic performance in just about any situation, and is close to about as futureproof as a laptop can get
    Virtually silent under normal use
    Solid construction
    Fabulous WUXGA LCD screen
    Lack of annoying keyboard problems
    6 USB ports!
At just $1440, tremendous value for money

Cons:
Runs very hot with Dell's default fan settings
Lack of 2 internal hard drives (which DV8000t has)
    Lack of numberpad on keyboard
Lack of legacy support for PCMCIA (which DV8000t has)
Short battery life on default 6-cell
    Lots of bloatware
Lack of mobility/hard to find a case that fits

 Dell XPS M1210 (Vista) Laptop

ONLY A FEW ULTRAPORTABLES EQUAL THE COMBINATION OF PERFORMANCE and features found on the Dell XPS MI210 (Vista). The Lenovo ThinkPad X60 (Vista) and the SonyVAIO SZ Series, which do. are both darlings of the marketplace. which tells you the type of company the MI210 keeps. Dell labels the MI210 as an ultraportable; I'm inclined to call it a borderline mainstream laptop. The unit weighs 4.9 pounds, which is about a pound heavier than both the Lenovo X60 and Sony SZ series. It's practically the same weight as the 5-pound Apple MacBook 13-inch. Granted, you have to take into account the 85-Wh extended battery and the integrated optical drive, which add to the bulk.

Performance is nothing short of spectacular for a laptop this small. The 2-GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 is the same standard-voltage, dual-core processor that powers the Lenovo ThinkPad X60 (Vista). All, in all, a true winner from Dell's stable. he XPS brand stands for many things, including uncanny performance, superior service quality, and excitement-inducing features. The Dell XPS MI210 packs all of this into a 4.9 pound frame-not the lightest ultraportable, but portable enough for all your travels.

Pros:
Discrete graphics in an ultraportable. Integrated DVD burner. Webcam for video chats. Fast performance. 85-Wh battery will run for plenty of time.
    Cons:
Design is a little bulky for an ultraportable. Unit can get warm at times.
    Bottom Line:
The M1210 (Vista) has all the essentials you typically don't find in an ultraportable, such as an integrated optical drive, discrete graphics, and top-notch performance.
